I think this song is about kobe because of the lyrics he set the west in flames and kobe's work to get to the top. I feel this song could be about a number of artists and most likely is.
Then I thought further and realized the guy performing the actual song is one of the lyricists from Linkin Park and the other guys are "nobodies" as we would call it. So basically I believe this song is just about being the best and making it, and all the people who can't believe it and who acknowledge such an accomplishment.
I thought the song was about Dr Dre because he is a producer signs people and has " a partner in crime" talking about Eminem. Personally every time I listen to this song I keep coming back to Eminem because if you listen to the song and compare it with him it makes a lot of scense. I thought it was about eminem for three main reasons. One, it says, "he doesn't need his name up in light Two, it says, "dropped Megadeath took em to church I like bleach man why you got the stupidest verse Three, it says, " The kids that he signs it's ridiculous without even trying how does he do it?
If anyone honestly thinks its about sports and not musicians you are not listening at all to the lyrics. All lyrics are property and copyright of their owners. All lyrics provided for educational purposes only.
I'm 15 again! I used to Listern to remember the name so much while running on the treadmill, it became a tradition, any time anyone mentions treadmilling and what they Listern to, Fort minor just hits me! This is also on the official Fort Minor YouTube page for those who don't want to provide an email:. That's not the official channel, and unfortunately that version has had it's pitch shifted slightly to avoid automatic DMCA take-downs but it does give a preview of the song :.
Here's the official channel :. Thanks OP! Logged into Ozbargain for the first time in a year or so just to upvote ya. Love Fort Minor and this song is great too. However, i kept getting Bright Idea stuck in my head and against my best intentions found myself liking it. A lot. Damn radio! Anyway i went for it and bought the album and i'm muchly glad i did. I've been finding it rather hard to define the quality of the album that makes it feel so familiar. It just seems to be kind of stereotypical american radio rock, but somehow in a really cool and enjoyable way, at least for me.
When i first played the album through i found myself wondering how i could've only jsut purchased the cd when almost every song felt like a part of my musical past already?
See, i can't really word what i mean. But yes, it feels really nice and familiar. Sometimes that can be a bit shite, but at the same time not every single album i buy has to be ground breaking or amazingly fresh because that just gets dull. Hopefully you feel the same.
